Girl Steps

"Journey of a thousand miles begins with just a small step". I would like to start my first blog with this amazing quote that says it all about trying, starting and believing. If anyone is wondering on what's the title is all about, it's about how a girl takes each and every step in life towards transforming into a better woman with a lot of class and dignity. It's like taking "baby steps" in anything and everything you do.

Every girl is a princess in their own forte and we have plenty dreams about our lives, future, career and lot more. We also would have a role model, obviously! But how do you be the person you want to be? You practice with patience, a lot of it actually!

We see and learn from examples around us but what's more important is "don't try to dye a copy" and "Be yourself" and create your own path with all your learnings. Definitely things takes its time in coming together, but don't bog down or don't be a quitter. Just wait patiently and you will reap the fruits of hard labor.

Let me quote  a personal experience here: I loved writing poems and was a big time story teller when I was a kid but eventually as I grew up I was so lost in all the social race of scoring marks, getting good grades and getting into a best Engineering college, which I did!  But once I got a hold of myself, getting myself a job in one of the top rated Corporates that's when I realized I'd be so lost without having a specific talent or a skill that I could showcase, that would make me unique and make me feel good that I'm doing something worthwhile.

I started searching  inside myself for answers on how to be that person and who would be looked upon by young girls as a best reference to be better. I kept searching and searching, and in parallel trying out all that I liked like singing, dancing, drawing, writing, talking to people. And Voila! I found my passion for writing and inspiring people through it.

Now came the big hurdle that everyone would generally face: procrastinating. I kept procrastinating my writing for the work kept me busy during the day and my laziness in the evenings! So I decided to take that "baby steps"... I started trying, believing that I can do this amidst of all my busy schedule. I had set up a reminder in my phone @8pm everyday that reminds me to write up about my day. That was my beginning. I would write one or two sentences initially and slowly started writing small paragraphs and it went on in me waiting to write up about the happenings of my day collating each and every interesting incidents that happened. You may ask me, what if I don't have anything interesting in my day? Yeah!! I write small stories with the characters I met that day or with al the fictional characters on my mind ranging from the dragon slayer to the ice-cream Monster! (It sounds funny, but it works)

So I kept practicing everyday on my writing skills and I'm still trying to improve it everyday as a famous quote goes on like this "we become better as each day goes by...." And finally here I'm writing my first blog without procrastinating any further wishing to give all my best and hoping it would inspire a few who wants to believe and trust in taking that first step towards a bigger goal. Hope it helps!

Here's my message for every princess out there: just keep trying, believing that you are good, you are great and start taking your girl steps right now, right this moment with lots of confidence. Above all trust yourself and "Be yourself". 😃
