Inspiration

"To inspire or to be inspired" we don't need a special person or a special moment but all it takes is that acceptance and seeing things under sheer simplicity. We meet a lot of people everyday and even the simplest and the smallest thing might inspire us. That's were we pick the first step of being inspired.

I take inspirations from the people around me. There are many examples from my life but I will cite a few for now.

There is this sweet girl, my bestie, a bundle of joy and an amazing person who I met two years back. I never knew that we would be so close when I met her and we went out for our first shopping day :). I've always felt happier with the joy she radiates and the smile on her face 24/7.

Initially I've always looked at her with an eye that she's a kid who's got everything. What can possibly go wrong in her life. But guess I was wrong. When I started moving with her and started to know her better, I found that everyone has a deepest scar but what makes you keep going with life is how you treat it.

She is the biggest inspiration in being positive in all situations possible. She keeps telling me "If you're breathing, you are blessed and you can definitely keep moving". She brought out the crazy freak inside me in enjoying life to the fullest and to look at things in a much brighter side:). Just the way she is, she's been blessed with a partner who is ready to let his freaky adventurous self out. And they were happily married ever after!!

Thanks to this sweet person, I know how to smile amidst of tough situations because I also know that being sad and stuck is not going to change anything but being happy and positive will change a lot of things, especially our perspective on life.

I have another favourite friend who is smart and a merry person. I happened to visit her in the hostel where she stays and what I seen was unbelievable. The room was so small that  it'll start suffocating if we both stood there for a while. It has a small cot and she has a good small bed on it. There is a so called cupboard where she manages to sneak up all her things. There is a small mirror and a little space for the footwear and stuff.

I really would never imagined 'her' to be staying in such a small place. There's a reason why 'her', because from the day I met her I've never seen her complain even once about anything and she is so positive about everything and she has an eye of seeing things beautifully and accepting people as they are. Plus she looked so posh (trust me!!). She has an amazing smile that would light up even a very sad and bad day :). Above all she's a veteran of that hostel staying there for 5 long years!! :) yet very happy and contended.

It's amazing how people inspire and create an impact on us. She is an inspiration to me in a way and made me realise how blessed it is to stay at home, have home food(totally!!) and how not to crib on small things over life. I learnt to see life even more beautiful now and to be contended with whatever little I have. In simple, "happiness is something which radiates from inside us rather than being determined by the environment or the things we possess"

I keep telling the people around me that there is always a reason behind anything and everything that happens. And there is also a reason why we meet certain people in life. Either we gain an amazing person or a great lesson.

I'm lucky enough in meeting these two wonderful women who has not only stayed and will forever stay in my life but also have taught me the important lessons in life: To be positive and happy in whatever situation, even when life beats me down and to be contended and satisfied with what little I have. They both have a common trait which is accepting people who they are and not trying to change them into something else. That's what made me more comfortable in this friendship and gave me space in learning from them. :)

Also I've learnt that it doesn't always need a Maya Angelou or a Oprah Winfrey to inspire us- but the simple people in our lives are enough to do so and to change us for the better :).  I'm happy to spread this joy and positivity among all of you. Keep smiling :)

I've taken my share of life lessons. Do you wish to take it as well? Go on now, start seeing the wonderful, simple people in your lives who you might have missed and get inspired.

Inspire and stay inspired!
