"In the end, we only regret the chances we didn't take"- Author Unknown.
I recently visited my paternal grandmother who stays in Nangavalli (TN) which is a very small panchayat town. It's always a pleasure going back to the place where our parents grew up isn't? The entire journey from Salem(TN) was so thrilling and I was re-living all the moments I had when I used to go there when I was a small kid.
The lush green meadows on both the sides of the road, the huge life size statues of dieties with all this big moustaches, the petty shops on the roadside and all the people with innocent and genuine smiles on their faces would lit up a day. As usual there were a set of college kids who were chatting, teasing and gossiping about each one on the bus. There was some staring and pointing at me too!! Yeah, that was all fun.
And the strategy that the private bus driver and the conductor had was just amazing. They had great coordination among themselves throughout the journey. The bus had stopped at all possible places where people waited to board in. The driver never wanted to even lose one customer coz each penny matters. They exhibited the practice and quality of 1+1=3 : Teamwork :)
The best thing that I loved throughout the journey was the bus horn. Funny eh! I'm really serious... whenever the bus overpasses a big truck or any other big bus, the driver uses this horn. It goes on like this: tatadadatadadatatadatadada.. I definitely bet people who have traveled in the town side would have noticed this. This honking means I'm rushing, please move.. :) And whenever the driver used this horn, it was giving me a high, feeling like a princess being drove on a golden chariot that goes super fast and people just get outtta your way!!
It's amazing how little things make us happy in a day and how little things teaches us great values just like the teamwork and the work strategy exhibited by the bus driver and conductor. We keep learning from things around us be it small or big. But how much do we put that into practice is a big question.
Let's all practice what we learn and learn to enjoy and cherish the little things in life ;) Take chances, explore a little and live life to the fullest!
